THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru was shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital from the general hospital on Saturday. The health condition of the Tantri deteriorated this morning at the Poojappura Special Sub-Jail.

Doctors found Tantri's blood pressure to be high during the examination. The chief priest of the Sabarimala temple also has heart problems. The doctors also said that further tests will be required on the ECG. In this situation, the doctor at the General Hospital said it would be ideal to shift Tantri to the Medical College.

When officials reached the cell to serve food this morning, Tantri told them about feeling unwell. The court had directed the jail superintendent to provide Tantri with adequate treatment. During the medical examination at the General Hospital yesterday, Tantri had told the doctors that he was taking medication for blood pressure and diabetes. The SIT presented a medical examination report in the court stating that Tantri did not have any serious health problems.
