PALAKKAD: BJP state vice president C. Krishna Kumar has rejected the sexual abuse allegations made against him, describing them as baseless. Speaking to the media, he said that the case was linked to a property dispute. He added that the complaint was revived by his wife’s sister after being dismissed earlier by the court.
"This is a case that was already dismissed by the honourable court. The complainant had married a man from another religion in 2010 and was living in Ernakulam. In 2014, when my father-in-law was undergoing dialysis treatment at a hospital in Coimbatore, the complainant came home and checked his almirah for property documents. All of his assets were in my wife's name. On seeing this, the complainant became aggressive, came to my house and created problems," he said.
"She even assaulted her father after he got discharged from the hospital. Later, she got admitted to a hospital and filed a case. To make the case stronger, she also raised false allegations against me, claiming I tried to sexually assault her. Police investigated thoroughly at that time. Her father even appeared before the judge and testified that my wife and I were the ones taking care of him. This complaint is only because of the property dispute,” Krishna Kumar said.
The woman submitted her complaint, which includes allegations of sexual abuse, to BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar. She said the incident happened years ago and that several party leaders already knew about it. She added that she approached Rajeev Chandrasekhar as she did not receive justice despite raising the matter earlier.
