ALAPPUZHA: Former minister G Sudhakaran has said that all those who are hurling abuse at him should be expelled from the party. Speaking to Kerala Kaumudi at his Punnapra residence, Sudhakaran said that the person responsible for resolving organisational issues is adding fuel to the fire.

Commenting on the recent incident, he said, “Where did these people get the courage to address a party leader in such a manner? People are stunned by such behaviour. The district committee will take action as needed. I did not wage any personal war; this response was to statements made about me.”

“Saji Cherian said that I should side with the party. Doesn’t this imply that I’m not in the party?” he asked. “Here, if there is any problem, the person responsible for resolving it is adding fuel to the fire.”

He added that if party members post inappropriate content on Facebook, there are clear guidelines to follow. Strict action against violators will enhance the party’s credibility. Leaders have confirmed that the district secretary is aware and that action will be taken against members violating these rules.

CPM trying to pacify Sudhakaran

Meanwhile, the CPM is trying to pacify G Sudhakaran, who had openly criticised the leaders over a series of cyber attacks against him. Leaders, including CS Sujatha, R Nasar, and M Sathyapalan, visited him at his residence and held discussions. They also invited him to the inaugural VS Achuthanandan Award ceremony, organised by the Kerala State Karshaka Thozhilali Union, on Sunday at Mankombu. The event will also feature MA Baby, MV Govindan, and Saji Cherian.

The party's state leadership intervened after minister Saji Cherian and AK Balan reacted against Sudhakaran’s statements. G Sudhakaran had strongly criticised Saji Cherian and district secretary R Nassar on a channel yesterday. CS Sujatha and R Nassar visited Sudhakaran's home after paying their respects to VS Achuthanandan's sister Azhikutty. The party leadership is trying to ensure Sudhakaran's presence at upcoming events. Sources indicate that party leaders have been instructed to refrain from public criticism of Sudhakaran. The district leadership has reportedly informed Sudhakaran about the actions taken regarding his statements and asked him to avoid public criticism of party leaders.
