Three passengers killed in bus-auto collision in Anchal

KOLLAM: Three people were killed after a bus carrying Sabarimala pilgrims collided with an auto in Anchal. The three were travelling in the auto. The dead has been identified as driver Akshay (23), Jyothi Lakshmi (21) and Shruthi Lakshmi (16), all natives of Anchal. The three who sustained serious injuries were taken to the hospital, but their lives could not be saved.

The accident happened early Thursday morning at 1 am near Mavila Junction on the Punalur Road. The auto has been completely damaged. The bus was carrying natives of Andhra Pradesh. Th bodies have been shifted to Punalur Taluk Hospital. The Anchal police have started an investigation after registering a case.
