Three youths taken into custody for driving car into Secretariat under influence of alcohol 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three young men were taken into police custody after they drove a car into the highly secured Government Secretariat premises. According to police, the car entered the Secretariat through the Cantonment Gate. When security officers signalled them to stop, the driver allegedly tried to speed past them.

Police said that all three men inside the car were under the influence of alcohol. However, the youths claimed that they did not notice the Secretariat gate and accidentally drove inside while following directions on Google Maps. They told police that they were travelling from Ernakulam to Kazhakkoottam when the incident happened.
