THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A new initiative called 'Mukhyamanthri Ennodoppam' (CM With Me) Citizen Connect Centre has been launched to allow the public to directly share their opinions, suggestions, and complaints with the Chief Minister. The program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Actor Tovino Thomas made the first call, describing the initiative as very welcome. The Chief Minister replied that people’s opinions are valuable. The service is available through the toll-free number 18004256789.
Speaking at the launch, the Chief Minister said that the LDF government has worked for the past ten years with the conviction that the ultimate responsibility of governance is to the people and that this principle must be put into practice. The Citizen Connect Centre aims to strengthen communication between the state government and the public, consider people’s opinions, resolve their issues, and effectively deliver government programs and schemes. The Information and Public Relations Department will run and oversee the centre, while KIIFB will provide technical and infrastructure support.
Minister K Rajan presided over the function held at the old Air India office in Vellayambalam. Ministers Roshy Augustine, K Krishnankutty, AK Saseendran, Ramachandran Kadannappally, KB Ganesh Kumar, V Sivankutty, and GR Anil attended as chief guests.
