"Vasu became 'Kindi Vasu' because he sold Kindi in Sabarimala, ate Sadya first because of gas trouble": Harsh teasing in Vallasadya ritual violation

KALPETTA: Congress leader K Muraleedharan has reacted to the violation of tradition in the Aranmula Ashtamirohini Vallasadya. The response comes in the wake of the Thantri writing to the Devaswom Board, stating that it was a violation of tradition to serve the Vallasadya to Minister VN Vasavan before offering it to the deity. K Muraleedharan mocked that Vasavan ate the Sadya before offering it to the deity because of gas trouble.

Those with him have also become delirious. When everyone was calling Saranam, Pinarayi Vijayan called out, "Swamiye Bharanam Ayyappa", at the Ayyappa Sangam. They have even traded the faith of the devotees for ten votes," criticised K. Muraleedharan.

Tantri Parameswaran Vasudevan Bhattathiripad had written a letter to the Devaswom Board on Sunday regarding the violation of the ritual in the Valla Sadya. The letter demands that a public remedial action be taken as the ritual has been violated. The letter states that all representatives of the Palliyoda Seva Sangham, members of the temple advisory committee and members of the administrative committee, who are responsible for the management of the Valla Sadya, should publicly offer "Ennapanam" in front of the deity after putting an 'Uruli' and prepare a Sadya of eleven Para (Bushel) of rice. The Tantri directed that after offering the Sadya to the deity, the Sadya should be served to everyone. Along with this, the letter states that they should take an oath that such a mistake will not be repeated.
