THRISSUR: A woman died after a private bus hit her scooter while she was going for work. The dead is Sneha (32) of Thalikkulam House in Poochinnipadam. Sneha was the field assistant of Porathisseri Village Office.

The accident happened Wednesday morning at 9.30 am near the bus waiting shed at Urakam Laksham Veedu area. A limited stop bus ‘Reborn’ overtook a halted bus and then hit her scooter. The locals said the rear wheel of the bus ran over Sneha's head. As soon as the incident happened, the bus employees fled from the place. The front of the scooter was completely destroyed in the accident.

This is an area where many had lost lives in the bus accident. Several scuffles have occurred in this area due to accidents, including the burning of two private buses that caused an accident years ago.

Sneha leaves behind her husband Jery Davis (assistant professor, Thrissur Govt Engineering College) and children Amala (5) and Ansiya aged one.
