Woman dies after car driven by youths hits auto and bikes

KANNUR: A woman, who sustained injuries after a speeding car hits an auto and two bikes, has died. The accident happened near the bus stand at 9.30 pm last night in Payyanur. The dead is Khadeeja (58), wife of N Kabir of Thrikkaripur Udumbunthala. The car that met with the accident was coming from the passport office area and heading towards the town. The youths in the car were drunk.

Khadeeja, who sustained serious injuries died Friday early morning. Khadeeja met with the accident while returning from a private hospital in Payyanur. Auto driver Aneesh and two others sustained injuries. The car and the auto have been completely damaged in the impact. The locals rushed the injured to the hospital. The locals caught the car passengers Abhirag and Abhijith and handed them over to the police. Two others fled from there.
