NILAMBUR: When UDF candidate Aryadan Shoukath ran towards P V Anvar amidst polling in Nilambur, the latter asked him not to hug him. After shaking hands, Anvar did not go into any friendly conversation with him. Both were at Nilambur Manavedan School to cast their votes.
Anvar told Shoukath, who came towards him after knowing he was there, not to hug him, in front of the cameras. With this, Aryadan Shoukath shook hands with him and walked away. Anvar later told media that Shoukath is a man of Dhirudharashtra hugging. He also criticized the hugging between Swaraj and Shoukath. The hugging was between two actors and that he is with the common people and doesn’t know to act.
‘There should be a friendly relationship between the candidates and it should be genuine. Don't attack behind one’s back. Pinarayi's statement that they don’t have any alliance with the RSS is the biggest joke of 2025. Pinarayi may have even had dinner with people from the center yesterday. Pinarayi is a person who betrayed the movement to save his daughter,’ he criticized.
After the votes are counted, Aryadan can go and pen a story, Swaraj can go to the secretariate, and I’ll go to the assembly. He alleged that the UDF candidate did not talk about politics during electioneering and campaigned with movie dialogues.
