MALAPPURAM: CPM Politburo member A Vijayaraghavan has responded to the allegations raised by PV Anvar MLA, who recently severed his ties with the CPM. Speaking at the CPM's political explanatory meeting at Chanthakkunnu Nilambur, Vijayaraghavan said that the Communist Party will not surrender to anyone and no communalist can create conflict here.
"We won't succumb to anti-communist propaganda. An attempt is being made to give Malappuram a different connotation. Malappuram is a bastion of communal harmony, and the Left has worked tirelessly to build it. The media, which once demonized Anvar, is now portraying him as a hero. They are celebrating the opportunity they got to malign the party," Vijayaraghavan said.
"The RSS agenda is to weaken the Left government. CPM isn't a party that does anything to get the applause of the smugglers. Although communal forces, anti-communists, and media outlets tried to prevent the continuance in power of the Left government in Kerala, they failed in doing so. Some media personnel receive payment to spread falsehoods and promote anti-communist ideology in the state," he added.
