A video of Aparna running in front of an ambulance carrying a patient in an emergency during a traffic jam is currently doing the rounds on social media. The incident took place at Aswini Junction in Kolothum Padarth, Thrissur, around 1:30 pm on Saturday.
The ambulance carrying the patient from the Medical College to the Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur got stuck in the traffic jam. Aparna retreated from her task only after running a long distance and asking other vehicles to move to the sides of the road to make way for the ambulance. The Kerala Police has shared the video of the incident on its official Facebook page along with the visuals.
Aparna's response to the Thrissur incident is that any member of the police force would have done the same thing she did. This is not the first time that Aparna has won applause for her actions. When the body of a woman who died during treatment was not released to her relatives due to a lack of money, Aparna took off her gold bangle and gave it to the relatives as a pawn. Similarly, she had also gained attention by cutting her hair to make wigs for cancer patients.
