AI to pave way to almighty: AI gods weaponising spirituality using 'GPT devotion'

Artificial intelligence is exploiting the people by pretending to be intermediaries to the gods. People who used to see priests and church ministers are now seeking refuge in GPT devotional models. The scam is that people can talk to God comfortably sitting in a room rather than praying in crowded temples far away. Most of those who succumb to GPT devotion are elderly people.

Many GPT models misinterpret spiritual texts. There are many GPT models like Gita, Jesus, Buddha, Quran and others for this purpose. People interact with GPT for everything from forgetting the death of a loved one to paying off debts. Those who are not close to their children will share that grief with GPT.

GPT will ask people in 'spiritual language' to share the 'problems that are bothering them' once they log in with their email ID. It will also suggest solutions to the problems by quoting from holy books. If one says he has failed in life, the response will be, 'Do your duty, you will get the result.'

However, cyber experts say that some AI gods claim that killing to restore dharma is not wrong. Some models even speak in a spiritual voice.

First free, then paid

Some models will ask the user which god they worship. Then they will interact in the manner of that god. Tools like "Guardian Angel" are an example of this. Models will tell you ways to meditate and chant mantras. Models that were initially free will later be available only if you pay. Many will pay so as not to lose the psychological support they were receiving till then. Experts say that when GPT models say they do not know some answers, it will increase isolation and mental stress in the elderly. Sharing personal information can also cause problems, including impersonation.
