NEW DELHI: People have the opportunity to buy the mementos received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The online auction of the gifts has started today, which is Modi's birthday. Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated the auction at the National Gallery of Modern Art. There are more than 1300 mementos received by the Prime Minister from various states and organizations. The public has the opportunity to see and buy them through the online auction. The online auction is through the website www.pmmementos.gov.in. It will continue till October 2.

  • One of the most expensive prizes is a statue of Bhavani Devi worth Rs 1.03 crore
  • A model of the Ram temple in Ayodhya worth Rs 5.5 lakh
  • A pashmina shawl from Jammu and Kashmir, Thanjavur painting, Rogan artwork from Gujarat, metal Nataraja statue, traditional Naga shawl
  • 14 gifts received from Kerala, including a Kathakali sculpture presented by the Kerala Governor

The proceeds from the auction will be donated to the 'Namami Gange Programme' to save the Ganges. More than Rs 50 crore has been donated to the project through the auction held every year since 2019.
