A social media post shared by an American woman about life in India is going viral on social media. The post was shared by content creator Kristen Fischer, who moved to India with her family four years ago. She recently shared yet another reason why she loves India.
Fischer begins the video with the words 'Another thing I love about India'. She said, "One of the best things about living in India is that if something is broken, you can get it repaired easily. My kettle broke, so I took it to a repair shop. The man fixed it for just Rs 30, and now it works like new." She also wrote a note along with the video.
'It is not like this in America. If something is broken in the USA, people would simply buy a new one. It typically costs more to repair an item than to replace it. But in India, you can find simple repair shops anywhere and fix anything for a very low cost. You can have appliances, shoes, phones, clothing, and pretty much anything else fixed, repaired, or mended. Another reason I think India is so much less wasteful and resourceful than America,' Fischer wrote.
