Youth festival at Maharajas turn into wedding venue for former students

Kochi: MG University youth festival became the venue for Nadeem and Kripa's wedding after a five-year love affair that blossomed during their degree studies at Maharaja's College in 2014-17. After the marriage registration at Mattanchery sub-registrar office on Wednesday, the couple came to the youth festival venue in Maharajas.

The friendship between KK Nadeem from Mattancherry and CR Kripa from Panangad turned into a love affair. Although Nadeem's relatives agreed to the marriage, Kripa's family opposed. Then both of them decided to register marriage. They on January 7 for marriage and were instructed to appear at the registrar's office on February 8. The couple and their friends planned to meet in college after the official ceremony. Meanwhile, the youth festival came by chance.

Ceremony witnessed by hundreds
Hundreds of students came to witness the ceremony at Maharaja's. Nadeem and Kripa's friends Nishad, Najeesh and Anupriya led the way. Nadeem is working in a private company. Kripa is a law student at Poothotta Sree Narayana Law College.
