Jeanne Louise Calment is the world's oldest living person. Born on February 21, 1875, Jean was 122 years old when she died. To be exact, this grandmother lived on earth for 122 years and 164 days. Calment used to eat a kilogram of chocolates every week. She also had another habit (we should say bad habit); Jeanne Calment was a heavy smoker from the age of 21 to 117. Calment's habit till death was to do whatever she liked.

All this was said to show that it is one's habits and daily routines that decide his life span. Diet, lifestyle and sleep can all have a major impact on longevity. After examining history, the longest-lived people all had common habits. Japan has the highest life expectancy.

There are certain factors that we should strive for for a long life. Let's see what they are-

1. Don't retire from life, stay active

The first point is to always be energetic in life. Don't give the word retirement a place in life. When research was conducted on this issue among the inhabitants of the island of Okinawa in Japan, it was understood that their lifestyle is the reason for their high life expectancy. They always care to do something and be active at every stage of life.

2. Enjoy doing things

The second rule is to enjoy whatever you do. For example, even when cooking at home, try to enjoy it 100 percent. Be careful not to rush things. It is sheer enjoyment that makes them fruitful.

3. Eat right

It is important to eat on time. Even while eating, take proper time to complete the meal. Get in the habit of eating small amounts of food that will keep you satisfied. Get used to eating in such a way that only 80 percent of your stomach is full.

4. Choose healthy friendships

Good friends are the best medicine. Studies show that having good friends to share our big and small joys, grievances, love and sorrows increases our lifespan.

5. Laughter is medicine

Whatever the obstacles in life, learn and practice to face them with a smile. Laugh more, live more.
