KARACHI: Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has said that cricketers are humans, not robots, and cannot always play without emotions. He was responding to the criticism over his poor performances and on-field behaviour during the Asia Cup. Rauf had earlier been suspended for two matches following multiple breaches of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct during the Asia Cup 2025. When asked about it, he reacted emotionally.

“Like every human being, I also have anger and emotions. Sometimes performances don’t go well, but I always try to come back stronger in the next match,” said Rauf. He also spoke about the intense pressure faced by players in international cricket.

“We don’t have any excuses. The only option is to correct our mistakes and move forward. But even as professional cricketers, we have bad days. People often forget ten good performances and talk only about one bad match,” Rauf added.
