Landslide at construction site in Piravom; three workers killed

PIRAVOM: Three workers died after being buried under the debris of a landslide that occurred at a construction site in Piravom. The accident happened at around 4 pm at Peppady in Piravom. The landslide occurred while moving soil at the construction site. All the three deceased are migrant workers. Efforts are underway to get the bodies out.

The workers were working in a pit when the landslide occurred. Although the fire force immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations, it was not able to save the workers. The police are inspecting the place.
