Toddler found dead in Kozhikode, mother in custody

KOZHIKODE: A one-and a half-year-old girl was found dead at Attakkundu in Maniyoor. The dead Ayesha Ciya was found dead at 10 am Thursday morning. The police have taken the baby’s mother Fayisa into custody.

The baby’s relatives told police that she died after choking on milk that she was fed by her mother. The police, who did not believe this, took the woman into custody. The woman is being interrogated.

There are reports that the woman has some mental issues. The inquest proceedings are progressing.
