Theatre veteran KPAC Rajendran, known for his role in sitcom Uppum Mulakum, passes away
ALAPPUZHA: Prominent theatre artist and actor KPAC Rajendran passed away on Thursday. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Vandanam Medical College Hospital due to kidney-related ailments. KPAC Rajendran had a theatre career spanning 50 notable years and was highly popular for his role in KPAC's major plays, including 'Ningalenne Communistaki'.
Despite his half-century involvement in the theatre business, Rajendran became a household name among Malayalees through his portrayal of the character ‘Kuttanpillai’ in the popular sitcom ‘Uppum Mulakum’. Apart from serials, Rajendran has also acted in films like Minnaminungu and Innumuthal.
Apart from KPAC, Rajendran had also worked with troupes like Suryasoma, Changanassery Nalanda Theatres and Geetha Arts Club.
