"How much will you get to recruit a girl to IS?": 'Haal' to hit theatres this week; trailer out

Shane Nigam starrer 'Haal' is getting ready to hit the theatres after a lot of controversies. The film will hit the screens on December 25 as a Christmas release. Now, the trailer of the film has been released.

The trailer gives an indication that the film will be a serious love story. Haal explores the interfaith love story between a Muslim boy and a Christian girl and the societal opposition they face. The film gained a lot of news when the Censor Board came up with a suggestion to remove some scenes from the film. The Censor Board had suggested that the scene of eating beef biryani should be removed from the film. The film's crew had approached the High Court against this move of the Censor Board.

The CBFC's stand was that six cuts should be made to give Haal a screening permit. However, four of these cuts were cancelled by a single bench. The High Court today dismissed the appeals filed by the CBFC and the Catholic Congress challenging this. The division bench upheld the single bench verdict. The judges had personally watched the film Haal to decide on the appeal.
