Eligibility of expatriate workers will be checked; also applies to work permits; soon to be implemented to these posts in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY: Reportedly, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower has decided to check the qualifications of expatriates working as accountants in the country. A similar procedure may apply to some other posts in the finance sector. Once the plan prepared for this is approved, the process will begin. This will be applicable to all work permits valid and registered between March and December this year.

It is reported that more than 16,000 expatriates working in the field of accounting will have to face the new procedure. A detailed study will also be conducted on the specific educational qualifications of those working in the field of accounting. The qualification of those working in the field of engineering in Kuwait is currently being checked and approved. For this, there is a special system under the leadership of the Kuwait Society of Engineers.
