RSS has many good things, physical training is for defence; no political untouchability towards BJP, says Metropolitan bishop of Kunnamkulam Diocese 

KUNNAMKULAM: Geevarghese Mar Yulios, the metropolitan bishop of Kunnamkulam Diocese of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, has heaped praises on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Speaking to the media, he said that it is not correct to interpret by taking only one part of the Vicharadhara and that the Church does not have any political untouchability towards BJP.

"The RSS has many good things. They are doing physical training for defence purposes. They are not doing it to attack or kill anyone. It is not right to interpret by just taking one part of the Vicharadhara. The Orthodox Church has a theory. We do not interpret the Holy Book just by taking one line from it. We interpret holistically," Geevarghese Mar Yulios said.

On Tuesday, Geevarghese Mar Yulios posted a Facebook post praising those including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He took such a stand in a situation where the Church rejected the violence against the Christian churches in North India.
