PATHANAMTHITTA: Adoor police have arrested two siblings, who are accused in several criminal cases in various police stations, as per the KAAPA Act. The arrested persons are Adoor Enadimangalam native Suryalal (23) and Chandralal (20). Both have been sent to the Thiruvananthapuram Central Prison.

Both Suryalal and Chandralal are accused in various crimes, including attempted murder, drugs, possession of prohibited tobacco products and causing bodily harm, within the limits of Adoor and Enathu police stations. In May last year, the police had arrested Suryalal on KAAPA charges. In February, a gang had broken into the house of the siblings and brutally attacked their mother Sujatha. Sujatha, who sustained serious injuries, died later. The accused, who were in hiding, were arrested by the police when they came to attend their mother's funeral ceremonies.
