The police immediately took him into custody from the hospital and shifted him to the medical college. They tried to question him when his health condition improved. In the meanwhile, his health deteriorated and died this morning.

The 26-year-old woman was hacked to death at her home in Manarcaud. Though the woman was taken to the medical college, her life could not be saved. Her father told police on that day itself that her husband was behind the incident. He later consumed poison.

Her children found their mother lying in a pool of blood at their residence. She was staying away from her husband, an accused in the partner-swapping case. The incident occurred when her father and brother went to work and the children were playing out. The police busted a gang including her husband involved in partner swapping on the basis of the woman's complaint in January.

An investigation following the complaint of the woman, the police got information about a major group. The investigation revealed that the partner was handed over and subjected to severe sexual exploitation through social media including messenger and telegram. They exchanged their wives through a group called Couple Meetup Kerala.
The woman was sexually assaulted by nine. The relatives alleged that her husband used to threaten even her children when she was not ready for it.
