Seven-year-old killed as banyan tree branch falls on playing children; incident inside UC college Aluva

ALUVA: A seven-year-old boy died in Aluva after a tree branch fell on his head. The incident happened near Aluva UC College. Two other children also suffered injuries and were shifted to hospital. Karattuparambil native Abhinav Krishna died in the incident.

It was at 12 pm that the banyan tree branch broke and fell on the ground where the children were playing. The loud noise brought the attention of seniors who reached the spot and shifted the injured two children to the hospital. However, it was only inside the hospital that Abhinav's parents reached out asking about their missing child. The locals were shocked to learn about the blunder and rushed back to the college spot in a hurry and found Abhinav stuck inside the debris of trees. He was rushed to hospital but died soon as the injuries suffered on his head were deemed severe.
