Theater and film actor CV Dev (83) passed away on Monday evening. He was undergoing treatment at the Kozhikode Medical College for a few days. He has acted in more than 100 films and popular plays. Hailing from Kozhikode, he made his film debut through the film 'Yaaro Oraal'.

He has acted in several popular films like 'Sandesham', 'Mannadiyar Penninu Chenkotta Chekan', 'Engish Medium', 'Chandrotsavam', and 'Urumbukal Urangaarilla'. He has received Guru Pooja Award from Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi.
