Taliban bans girl students aged above 10 years from attending school

KABUL: According to reports, the Taliban in its latest edict has banned girls above 10 years old from studying. The rule will be applicable in certain provinces of Afghanistan, where it will be mandatory for girls to conform to the rules and stay at home.

In Ghazi province, the Taliban has already reached schools to order officials not to allow girls above 10 years old to sit in class. In an earlier such move, the Taliban banned girls from going to college. Even women are not allowed to work in NGO organizations across the country.
