Malayalees favourite actor was first approached to play villain in ‘Bhaskar The Rascal'

Mammootty and Nayanthara played the lead role in Siddique’s ‘Bhaskar The Rascal’. Telugu actor J D Chakravarthy played villain in the film. An old video of Siddique saying that he first approached Malayalees favourite actor to play the role of the villain is going viral on social media now.

Siddique said that he had in mind actor Jayaram. ‘The shooting of the film was in Kochi. It was very difficult to find the character, first husband of the heroine. I thought it would be better to ditch the mafia and make it a family drama.

If Jayaram played Nayanthara's husband, then the story could be made in such a way that they distanced for some reason and then return to the heroine's life. When I told him about it, Jayaram was not ready to accept the role. So, the story went back to the old mafia track. Otherwise, the film would have taken a different track.’
