CINCINNATI: Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic tore his shirt off in excitement after winning the Cincinnati Open title by defeating the young Spanish prodigy and top-ranked Carlos Alcaraz, who earlier defeated Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.
Novak defeated Carlos 5-7, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (4) in last night's final. The match lasted for three hours and 49 minutes. After losing the first set, Novak came back and won the next two sets through tiebreakers. With this win, the Serbian extended his ATP Masters 1000 titles record to 39.
