Youth who committed suicide in Wayanad borrowed money from 'Candy Cash' app; receives threat message five minutes before death

KALPETTA: More information is out on the suicide of a youth who borrowed money from an online app in Wayanad. The dead is Ajay Raj, a native of Arimula. Ajay, who had severe financial obligations, had borrowed money from an online app. The initial conclusion of the police is that he committed suicide after being threatened to repay the amount. His friends said that the youth was threatened with a fake picture. The police will record the detailed statement of the family in the incident.

Ajay borrowed the money through an app called 'Candy Cash'. The police said five minutes before his suicide, Ajay had received a threatening message. It is heard that he borrowed money from friends and some financial firms. However, his relatives said that they don’t know about Ajay taking loan through a mobile app.


A couple of days ago, a couple and their children ended their lives in Kochi after being threatened by an online loan app gang. Threatening messages were received from the woman's phone alleging that the loan repayment was delayed. It is also reported that the group morphed the woman's picture and sent it to her relatives' phones.
