'Our caste and religion will become evident when it comes to marriage of children, we are pretending to be secular'; Actor Krishnakumar opens up

krishnakumar

Actor and BJP leader Krishnakumar is quite active on social media. The actor and his family usually share all the interesting events happening in their lives on social media. Krishna Kumar, who is active in politics along with films, had contested from Thiruvananthapuram in the last Assembly elections.

Now, a recent interview given by Krishnakumar is going viral on social media. His response to a question about whether he was dropped from films after making a political entry is going viral on social media.

During the interview, he said that some people had dropped him from their movies in the name of his politics. He also said that those who claim to be secular often think about their religion.

"It is only natural. If Congress is in power in the state, their people will be the ones getting high posts. When the Communist Party or the BJP comes into power, people close to them will get appointed to high posts. Most of us are acting as secular. However, there is religion and caste in all of us. But we would not admit it. Our caste and religion will become evident when it comes to the marriage of our children. Those claiming to be secular can be seen creating issues when it comes to the marriage of their children. Such thoughts are there in every human. Although many of us Keralites say that we are secular, it is not the truth. I don't know why we are telling such a lie," Krishnakumar said.

"When it comes to cinema, a person's character is determined on the basis of his religion. I have seen many such instances. Some people might've dropped me considering my political affiliations. I am not blaming them. Maybe they don't have any personal issues with me. Although I had all this within me even before entering politics, I used to cooperate with everyone. I had often travelled with several politicians in Kannur Express and Madras Mail. We used to talk about a lot of matters. That is how I met people like Karthikeyan sir and MK Muneer. Recently, I got the opportunity to talk to EP Jayarajan sir during a recent flight journey," he said.

"However, I don't know why people are getting dropped from films because of their politics. Maybe it is a good thing. Don't they say that 'rejection is redirection?' Maybe we are getting rejected from one place in order to help us reach another place," Krishnakumar added.
