Merciless trolling for Deepika's 'multiple dating' story

Season 8 of Koffee with Karan started its premiere with Bollywood’s loved duo Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone coming as guests in the season opener. For the last two days, it was a hailstorm of troll attacks for Deepika for her zany revelation about “seeing other people” while being committed to Ranveer.

In the episode, Deepika revealed her depression stages and how she battled it after a slew of failed relationships. According to the actress, even after being committed to Ranveer Singh, she couldn't stop herself from getting into rendezvous with other people. She revealed that albeit seeing other people her mind would often stick with Ranveer. More strikingly, Ranveer, who always chose to be dramatic in both real and reel life was seen stoic when hearing the revelation.

Ranveer later retorted back with questions at Deepika but it had an added tinge of humour for host Karan Johar to just laugh it off as trivial. However, after the premiere, the internet was replete with trolls about the trust hanging loose between Deepika and Ranveer. Many even juxtaposed their situation to that of Hollywood stars Will and Jada Smith.

And now, more people within the industry have come in guard for the Bollywood couple. Actor/comedian Vir Das supported Deepika as he made sardonic comments to online trolls and "other men" upset with Deepika’s decisions.

Meanwhile, netizens also unearthed an old video of Ranveer describing his first meeting with ex-Anushka Sharma. His description of the event was more similar to what he said about Deepika Padukone in last week's Season 8 of Koffee with Karan.
