'Minister Riyas, brain behind Suresh Gopi controversy'; BJP leader Shobha Surendran with shocking allegation

KOZHIKODE: The Suresh Gopi saga connecting a women journalist is spreading like wildfire in Kerala and more people across the political spectrum are coming forefront with their take on the issue. In the latest, BJP leader Shobha Surendran backed Suresh Gopi and alleged political conspiracy behind the issue snowballing into such a controversy. The BJP leader said that the journalist wouldn’t have dared to a complaint unless for intrusion from top political elites.

“There was no problem till 4 pm on Friday. The journalists were also in a jovial mood while Suresh Gopi responded to them. By night, the situation gets worse and it is politicized to such an extent. Even, Suresh Gopi took the decency to apologize directly to the journalist. It should have ended there. But for some odd reason, the case is being dragged” Shobha Surendran responded.

Shobha Surendran also accused the left party of playing political vendetta by using a journalist as a shield.

“There are many people on the left side who are ready to provide us details about the covert meetings planned to defame Suresh Gopi. The brain behind this dramatics is Minister Riyas. He is seeking revenge for the Karvannur debacle. The man who lodged the complaint on behalf of the woman journalist is an accused in a harassment case” said Shobha Surednran.

“I will tell Suresh Gopi about the reality in Kerala that not everyone is ready to accept his magnanimous side, even if he helps all people in Kerala. Suresh Gopi has apologized out of his conviction and still, if the Marxist leadership and online trolls decide to haunt him, a huge community of women and sisters from Kerala will form a bulwark to guard Suresh Gopi,” said Shobha Surendran.
