"Our relationship didn't start in Commissioner, our politics differ": Shaji Kailas on fake news circulating on social media

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Director Shaji Kailas took to Facebook to respond to the fake news circulating on social media about actor Suresh Gopi. In his post, Shaji Kailas said that those who take pleasure in creating fake news should stop such activities. It is something that causes a lot of mental pain, he added.

"For the past few days, I have seen many people sharing something that I have not said on social media. Remember.. the relationship between me and Suresh did not start with 'The Commissioner'. We have been friends ever since we came to the cinema. Suresh was the hero in my first film. Suresh is the hero in my next film too", Shaji Kailas wrote in his Facebook post.

Meanwhile, fake news is circulating on social media with pictures of Suresh Gopi and Shaji Kailas. "He went completely out of hand with the movie Commissioner. Suresh's body language, hand gestures and speech are so different that it is impossible to recognize which is reel and real. When I pointed it out many times, he lashed out at me in Bharat Chandran style" - the fake news circulating on social media claimed.
