'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' fame actor Vinod Thomas found dead inside car

KOTTAYAM: Film-serial actor Vinod Thomas was found dead in a car. Vinod's body was found inside the car parked near a bar in Pampady in Kottayam. Vinod reached the bar at around 11 am on Saturday. The hotel staff found Vinod unconscious inside the car at around 5.30 pm. As he did not respond to their calls, they broke the side window, opened the door and took him out of the car. Although they rushed him to the hospital, he was soon declared dead.

It is suspected that the cause of death may have been inhalation of poisonous gas from the AC of the car. The police said that this could be confirmed only after the post-mortem. Vinod had acted in films such as 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum', 'Oru Murai Vanthu Paarthaya', 'Netholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla', 'Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri', 'Happy Wedding', 'June' etc. He was single. The body is kept at Pampady Taluk Hospital.
