AHMEDABAD: Australia has lost three crucial wickets while chasing the 240 runs raised by India in the World Cup final. Mohammed Shami was the star again adding another wicket to his vault by dismissing David Warner with a seamer. Warner stretched himself to hit the ball but ended up getting the edge, only to gift a catch to Virat Kohli, who was positioned safely at the slips.

Mitchell Marsh soon entered the pitch and instantly poured his class by hitting Shami for a magnificent six through the offside. Marsh couldn't stay for that long and was caught from behind by Rahul in a Bumrah delivery. And now, Bumrah has struck again dismissing former Aussie captain Steve Smith, lifting the spirits of the Ahmedabad crowd.

After losing the toss and batting first, India was all out for 240 runs in 50 overs. KL Rahul (66), Virat Kohli (54) and captain Rohit Sharma helped India reach a decent total. The Australian bowlers were at their zenith of form and successfully dismissed Indian players at regular intervals.
