Malayali woman commits suicide at her hostel room in Mumbai following brawl with boyfriend

MUMBAI: A 20-year-old Malayali woman was found to have committed suicide in a hostel in Mumbai. The woman had gone to Mumbai to undergo training to join the Navy under the Agniveer scheme. On Monday morning, the woman had a brawl with her boyfriend. Following this, the boyfriend threatened to commit suicide.

The woman reached Mumbai two weeks ago. According to sources, she committed suicide following the brawl with her boyfriend. The woman was found dead in her hostel room at INS Hamla Base in Malad West, Mumbai.

After finding the woman unconscious, the hostel authorities informed the police and the doctor. The woman's death was confirmed after the doctor reached the spot and conducted an examination.

The Malwani police have registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation.
