Bandra man held for molesting Mexican DJ for four years

MUMBAI: A young man has been arrested for repeatedly molesting a 31-year-old Mexican woman. The Bandra police arrested the accused last day for torturing a young disc jockey (DJ). The arrested youth also works as a disc jockey.

The arrest was made on a complaint lodged by the woman last week. According to the complaint, the 35-year-old man has been harassing her since 2019. Both of them live in Mumbai.

The two met through social media in 2017 and later in July 2019, the man brought the victim to his house in Bandra and molested her. According to police, the torture and sexual molestation took place several times.

It was only after the man started extorting her money and threatening her with nude pictures that the woman took up the courage to complain. In 2020, the accused got married to another woman. The complaint states that he continued to molest the woman even after marriage. Bandra Police told the media that a case has been registered against the accused on charges of harassment and intimidation.
