MUMBAI: Indian leg-spinner prodigy Ravi Bishnoi has surpassed all hurdles to reach the top spot in the ICC rankings for bowlers in T20. With 699 rating points, Bishnoi secured the top spot humbling Afghanistan's Rashid Khan who is now the second best. Rashid Khan has 692 points. Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga is third on the list.

A good performance in the five-match T20 series against Australia helped the Indian star to achieve his career-best rankings. Bishnoi’s crucial achievement comes just after 21 games that he played for the nation. The 23-year-old Bishnoi has taken 34 wickets in his career. His best performance included 4 wickets for 16 runs.

Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav remains at the top position in the list of batsmen with 855 rating points. Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan is second and South Africa's Aiden Markram is third. Indian player Ruturaj Gaikwad is in the seventh position.

Hardik Pandya, who is ranked third in the list of all-rounders, is the only Indian player to make it to the top ten. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan is first and Afghanistan's veteran Mohammad Nabi is second.
