Dhoni to make Bollywood debut? It might happen in this legendary cricketer's biopic

MUMBAI: Cricket and Bollywood have had a very close relationship for ages. It reached a new level when biopics on cricketers' lives became the subject of Bollywood films. The film MS Dhoni the Untold Story about the life story of India's captain cool MS Dhoni was a huge hit at the box office. The film, in which the late Sushant Singh Rajput played Dhoni, was highly praised.

Now reports suggest that another biopic is underway and this time that of Sourav Ganguly, one of the best cricketers and captain India has ever seen. Ayushmann Khurrana will be playing the lead role. Earlier there were rumors that Ranbir Kapoor would play the lead role in Dada's biopic.

Another feature of the film is that Mahendra Singh Dhoni may make a guest appearance in the film. There is no official confirmation regarding this. The shooting of the film may begin by the end of this year. According to a report by Peeping Moon, Ganguly's biopic is being produced by Bollywood producers Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the banner of Luv Films.

The movie is directed by Vikramaditya Motwani who is famous for films like Udaan, Lootera and Jubilee. There will be an official announcement about the film soon.

The film 83, based on the 1983 World Cup victory, also got good reviews. Bollywood star Ranveer Singh played the role of Kapil Dev in 83.
