After 500 years, Ram Lalla smiles again at Ayodhyapuri; Prana Pratishtha done successfully

LUCKNOW: The long tedious, and invigorating wait of 500 years has finally reached a pit stop on January 22 2024. In the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries, the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol took place at the Sri Ram Temple on a shivering Monday in Ayodhyapuri.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the temple around 12.10 pm. Modi led the consecration ceremony as he entered the ‘Garbhagriha’, the innermost sanctuary of the temple with a crown placed on a red decorated shawl.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, U. P Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Temple Trust President Nritya Gopal Das were present at the shrine. The head priest is Laxmikant Dikshit of Varanasi. 14 couples from the North, South, East, West and North-East of the country participated in the function as 'Mukhya Yajaman'.

Ahead of the Prana Pratishtha, there was a 'Mangal Dhwani' musical program of over 50 instruments from various states. This event was conducted at the behest of Sangeet Natak Akademi. Singer Shankar Mahadevan led the musical feast.

Prominent film and sports personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Sachin Tendulkar, Ambani family, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Sunny Deol, Prabhas, Yash and more than 2200 VIPs attended the event.
