Budget grievances persist despite presentation

h

Even after the presentation of the budget, the complaints and grievances continue unabated. Complaints are due to the fact that the allocation has decreased and not received at all. On the other hand, the government employees and teachers have been criticized for not receiving the allowance dues that have been withheld for months. They are also upset that the demand of the service organizations to bring back the old statutory pension and make the contribution pension sufficient. After the presentation of the budget this time, it is seen that some government departments are also in severe protest.

The Food and Civil Supplies and Animal Welfare Departments have already publicly expressed their displeasure. Ministers G.R. Anil and Chinchu Rani are going to meet the Chief Minister and report the complaint. Revenue Department Minister Rajan also complained. He is upset that his department is not getting enough attention. Similarly, many organizations are deeply resentful of not receiving the attention they expected. Complaints and criticisms are being raised this time on a scale that is not seen after the regular budget presentation.

It is impossible to present the budget to everyone's satisfaction. Because the allocation at the disposal of the Finance Minister is very limited when compared to the needs of the state. In the midst of pressures, it has to be shared by everyone. Naturally, many needs must be pretended not to be seen. Knowing that this will not be enough, share the share of the sectors. Usually the finance minister responds favorably to at least some of these complaints in the budget debate. It can be assumed that this time too.

The finance minister is definitely responsible for addressing the complaints that the departments of the CPI ministers have been grossly neglected. This kind of ad response in a coalition cabinet itself will send the wrong messages. Food Minister Anil has publicly expressed his opposition to the budget on a serious public issue. The current miserable condition of Supplyco under him is well known in the country. Supplyco stores, which were the common man's dependants, are now simply open. Needless to say, there are no items for sale.

Supplyco stores were active during the period when 13 items were sold at subsidized rates. Big traders are no longer giving goods on credit due to non-payment of huge arrears incurred by buying spices from outside. Supplyco owes more than two thousand crore rupees from the government. The fact that there is not even a hint about this in the budget led the food minister to protest. Similarly, departmental minister Chinchu Rani is also protesting the significant reduction in the allocation of animal welfare department.

Food and animal welfare departments are two important departments that are closely related to the people. It is in the public interest of the country that they should remain active. Therefore, the complaints raised by the ministers of these departments must be given fair and due consideration. Finance Minister should check what can be done. It should also be announced in response to the budget debate. It is the need of the common man that the supply should be in good condition.
