NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to visit the Ayodhya Ram Temple. It is reported that Kejriwal will be accompanied by his wife and parents on Monday. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will also accompany him.
Kejriwal had said that he had not received a formal invitation on January 22, when the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple took place. He had also stated that he would visit Ayodhya later with his family. It was only after that that the information came out that he would visit on Monday.
Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal's announcement yesterday that the Aam Aadmi Party will contest all the Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and Chandigarh came as a blow to the 'India' coalition. In 13 seats in Punjab and one seat in Chandigarh, candidates will be announced within 15 days. It was at the inauguration of the Ghar Ghar Ration Scheme in Amloh, Punjab that the party publicly announced its no-alliance with the Congress. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Punjab, the Congress won eight seats and the Aam Aadmi Party one seat.
