MUMBAI: Senior NCP leader Sharad Pawar has invited Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fandavis and Ajit Pawar for lunch at his residence in Baramati on Saturday.
The leaders are coming to inaugurate various programs in the Baramati constituency. Sharad Pawar invited them to his residence in this context.
"Chief Minister Shinde is coming to Baramati for the first time after taking charge as the chief minister of the state. I am very happy about his visit to attend the Namo Maharojgar Event in Baramati. I would like to invite him and his other cabinet colleagues for lunch at my residence after the event," Sharad Pawar wrote in the invitation letter.
It must be noted that Sharad Pawar has strained ties with his nephew Ajit Pawar after the latter split the NCP and joined the BJP-Shinde faction. Meanwhile, reports had claimed that Ajit's wife Sunetra Pawar might contest from the Baramati constituency, where Sharad Pawar's daughter will be contesting in the upcoming general elections. Sharad Pawar's new move comes in this context.
