Second leg of IPL will be held in India itself: Chairman

MUMBAI: Arun Dhumal, the chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has dismissed the rumours that the second leg of the IPL may be held in the UAE in the context of the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to the media, Dhumal said that this year's IPL matches will not be shifted out of India and all the matches will be played in India. He added that the schedule and venues for the second leg of the IPL from April 19 to June 1 will be announced soon. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had also said that the IPL will be held in India.

BCCI had earlier released the schedule and venues for the first two weeks of the 17th season of the IPL. It is reported that the schedule for the second leg and the information about the venues will be published soon after considering the polling day.
