NEW DELHI: Isha Foundation founder and spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev underwent an emergency brain surgery. The surgery was done on March 17 at Delhi's Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. Hospital sources said that his health condition is improving after he was shifted to a ventilator.
It is reported that he was suffering from severe headaches for about four weeks. Meanwhile, he actively participated in various programs and social activities. By March 15, his condition worsened and he was rushed to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. An MRI scan revealed a brain haemorrhage following which a surgery was done. The examination was done because a subdural hematoma was suspected. Sadhguru is being treated by a team of neurologists comprising of Dr Vineet Suri, Dr Pranab Kumar, Dr Sudhir Tyagi and Dr S Chatterjee.
He had participated in the Maha Shivratri celebrations on March 8 and regular functions on March 15. It was during this time that his health deteriorated. The swelling in the brain was so high that the surgery was done immediately.
