AHMEDABAD: Some videos of a ruckus between fans of Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans have emerged on social media, adding a stronger narrative to the much-discussed return of Hardik Pandya. While the match was going on some fans from the gallery were seen punching each other, and slandering while being seated in the gallery.

Although the reason for the conflict is not clear, it is being interpreted in social media as a clash between the fans of Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. Things have not been plain sailing for Hardik Panyda who made his return to Gujarat but on Mumbai colours. Fans welcomed Padnya with boos whenever the camera caught him, while adding to the worries came Rohit Sharma’s mordant response to Pandya’s commands.

Mumbai Indian’s fan support has dwindled ever since Rohit Sharma was forced to relinquish his captaincy. Lakhs of fans have unfollowed the teams' social media pages in protest over Rohit's removal from the captaincy.
