RAIPUR: Lashing out at the Congress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that corruption was the hallmark of India when the grand old party ruled the country. Modi was speaking at the election campaign held in Bastar in Chhattisgarh.
"After Independence, the Congress gained the license to loot the country. Modi revoked it when the NDA government came to power in 2014. It was the people of the country who gave me the right to do so. The Congress was forced to shut their shop as the license was revoked. Now, they will be trying to destroy Modi. But I am sure that the people of the country will protect me from that. The mothers and sisters of this country will prepare a shield for me," Modi said.
"The Congress leadership had declined the invitation for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. It even expelled the Congress leaders who questioned its decision. The Congress has thus shown that it would cross any limits for the sake of appeasement politics," Modi said.
